Hi, I'm Ryan Delaney, a software engineer working in infrastructure reliability tooling, with experience in technical theatre. I invite you to click around in the game above and explore, and maybe kill some time! It won't work very well on mobile so I recommend using it on a web browser when you get a chance.

The game is designed as a really simple farming game, currently it doesn't really have much to do. You can plant crops, water them and wait for them to grow, then harvest them. There's no goal, nothing to strive for, just farm and harvest. This was spawned out of a silly idea that I wanted to demo - I have dreams of adding automation and goals and quests, but this was put together in a single evening from scratch with no libraries so you take what you can get! Credit for the art goes to various artists on OpenGameArt, see the console for more. The game saves every night into local storage so you should be able to come back to it.

Use [ to go up in your inventory, ] to go down, the Hoe can harvest crops and create farmland. Crops need to be watered every day, after 3 days of not watering they will turn to rot. You can use W A S D to move, or drag around.

about me_

To keep it brief, I'm a software engineer with a masters in Computer Science from the University of St Andrews. My main interests are in software development, particularly on infrastructure and backend tooling, and in technical theatre - and especially in any situations where they intersect.

The best place to find out more about the stuff I do is in the chaotic quagmire that is my GitHub and GitLab accounts, or a dig through my LinkedIn profile below. I'm always happy to chat about opportunities and interesting projects!
